THE IMPORTANCE OF GAMIFICATION 

At the beginning of the class, the teacher told us about his project to teach English to university students through the game of Among us, having very good results, since through the dynamics, strategies and outcomes of the game, good communication and listening was obtained from the participants, many of the participants did not know the game, but I did know it since I had played it previously during the pandemic, so it had not been difficult for me to understand its game methodology, but sadly on the occasions that I was an impostor, they discovered me very quickly and that type of situation did not favor me in the game, therefore I consider that this gamification strategy obtained very good results and interest from the students and the level of evidence of learning obtained during the game was very noticeable most of the time.

It is important to emphasize gamification in learning, through games and dynamics of that type, since it gives them a way to learn topics more easily with greater interaction during the game. Gamification is the strategy to learn something through games to achieve better results among students through dynamics that involve and motivate them to progress, such as competition between students, teamwork, etc. Therefore, by transmitting the learning of a second language in a game, people have greater motivation and willingness to learn.I would like to mention the activity we had in class through the Among us game to practice our language skills by having and learning new vocabulary.

We can conclude by emphasizing that gamification in education is important because it turns learning into a more interactive and motivating experience, increasing student engagement and participation. By incorporating elements that lead the participant to become interested in the game, such as points, levels, rewards, and challenges, intrinsic motivation is stimulated and information retention is improved. These techniques not only make learning more fun, but also promote skills such as problem solving, teamwork, and critical thinking.
